DCA & TWAP Orders

DCA and TWAP orders let you spread buying or selling over time instead of executing all at once — DCA to smooth out volatility, TWAP to reduce price impact on large orders. Set them up in chat or on the Trade page, and Bankr runs them automatically. DCA and TWAP work on EVM chains only, not Solana.

DCA (Dollar-Cost Averaging)

Automatically buy a token at regular intervals:

"start a DCA: buy $10 of ETH every day for a week"
"DCA $25 into BNKR every Monday"
"buy $10 of ETH on base every 6 hours for 3 days"

If you don't give a duration, a DCA runs 10 times. A DCA also expires after 30 days unless its duration says otherwise. Each run also has a minimum size — see DCA Orders on docs.bankr.bot for the current limits.

TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price)

Spread a large order over time to reduce price impact:

"TWAP buy $500 of ETH over 4 hours on base"
"sell $1000 of BNKR spread over 24 hours"

TWAP breaks your order into smaller chunks and executes them evenly across the time window.

Setting Up on the Trade Page

DCA and TWAP orders can also be created visually on the Trade page at bankr.bot/trade: switch the swap widget to Pro mode and choose the DCA or TWAP order type. This is also where you set up recurring orders for an external connected wallet.

You can also manage automations from the terminal sidebar or via the API.

Orders and Your Spending Limits

Each DCA or TWAP fill counts toward your wallet's daily and per-transaction spending limits, valued at the price of what it sells. A fill that would go over a limit doesn't pause the order: Bankr tries it again an hour later and tells you, at most once a day per order. A fill also retries hourly while your wallet is paused or the token can't be priced. If a single fill is larger than your per-transaction limit, it only goes through once you raise that limit.
