How Do I Add or Change a Login Method (X, Farcaster, Telegram, Email)?

Updated by Frenchie

Sign in at bankr.bot with the account that holds your wallet, open your profile menu → Account → Linked accounts, and link the new login. Every linked login then opens the same wallet. To change a login, link the new one first, then unlink the old one.

Which Logins Count

You can sign in with email, X, Farcaster, Telegram or phone. Discord can be linked as a social connection, but it isn't a login, so it won't get you back in.

Link at least two logins. If you lose one (for example, X suspends your account), the other still opens your wallet.

Rules for Linking

  • Sign in to the wallet that holds your assets first, then link from there.

  • The account you add must be "clean": only its own primary login, not already tied to another social. If it is, sign in with that account first, remove the extra link, then come back and link it.

  • You can't unlink your last login. Link a second one first.

  • Unlinking may ask for MFA. If Bankr asks you to turn on MFA before unlinking, add a passkey or authenticator app under Security → MFA & Sessions first. See Protecting Your Account.

Changing a Login

  1. Sign in with a login you'll keep.

  2. Link the new login under Linked accounts.

  3. Sign out and back in with the new login, and check it opens the same wallet address.

  4. Then unlink the old one.

Your wallet is tied to your X account's numeric ID, not your handle, so changing your X handle doesn't need any of this. Unlinking X and signing up again with the same X doesn't make a new wallet; Bankr finds the existing one.

Lost Access or See a Different Wallet?

If X suspended your account, you changed your handle, or you see an empty wallet, see My X Account Was Suspended or I Changed My Handle.

If linking keeps failing after you've checked the rules above, open a ticket at the Bankr Help Center with your wallet address and the accounts involved.
