My X Account Was Suspended or I Changed My Handle — How Do I Get Back In?
Your Bankr wallet is tied to your X account's numeric ID, not your handle, so changing your handle doesn't change your wallet. If X suspended your account, you can get back in only through a backup login you linked beforehand. Without one, the only route is recovering the X account through X itself.
I Changed My X Handle
Your wallet stays the same. If you now see a different or empty wallet, the cause is almost always which account you're signed in with or how accounts were linked, not the rename. Log out of bankr.bot completely and sign back in with the same X account you've always used. If that doesn't fix it, see Embedded Wallet vs. Connected Wallet for the usual causes of a wrong wallet.
X Suspended My Account
You linked a backup login (email, Farcaster or Telegram): sign in with it. It opens the same wallet.
You didn't: there's no way to authenticate as you, so access can't be recovered through Bankr. Recover your X account through X's own recovery process. Once you're back in, your Bankr wallet is there.
Discord is a social connection, not a login method, so a linked Discord doesn't count as a backup.
Add a Backup Login Now
At bankr.bot, open your profile menu → Account → Linked accounts and link an email, Farcaster or Telegram. A few rules:
The account you add must be "clean": only its primary login, not already tied to another social.
You can't unlink your last login method. Link a second one first.
Unlinking X and signing up again with the same X doesn't create a new wallet. Bankr finds the existing one.
Also turn on MFA for both X and Bankr. See Protecting Your Account.
What to Send Support
Use the Help Center form and include:
Your wallet address, if you know it
Your X handle, plus the old one if you changed it
Every login method linked to the account
Which method you were signed in with when the problem started
A screenshot of the wallet address you see now
If Bankr itself restricted your account, that's a different issue. See My Account Is Restricted or Suspended.
