How Do I Cash Out (Withdraw to a Bank or Exchange)?
Bankr doesn't convert crypto to dollars in your bank account directly — there's no built-in fiat off-ramp. Cashing out is a two-step process: send your crypto from Bankr to an exchange that supports your bank (Coinbase, Kraken, Binance, etc.), then sell and withdraw there. Here's the safe way to do it.
Step 1: Get a Deposit Address from Your Exchange
In your exchange account, find the deposit page for the token you're sending (e.g. ETH or USDC) and copy the deposit address. Note which network the exchange expects — this is the single most important detail. An exchange's USDC deposit address on Ethereum is not the same thing as USDC on Base, and sending on a network the exchange doesn't support can lose the funds.
Step 2: Send from Bankr
Tell Bankr what to send, where, and on which chain:
"send $500 of USDC to 0xYourExchangeDepositAddress on base"
Bankr shows you the recipient, amount, and chain before anything goes through. If your funds are on a different chain than the exchange expects, bridge first ("bridge my USDC from polygon to base") or let Bankr handle it in one request.
Do a small test send first. For any meaningful amount, send $10–20, confirm it arrives in your exchange account, then send the rest to the same address. A few cents of gas is cheap insurance.
Step 3: Sell and Withdraw on the Exchange
Once the deposit lands, sell for your local currency on the exchange and withdraw to your linked bank account. Timing and fees for that part are set by the exchange, not Bankr.
Good to Know
Stablecoins are the easiest thing to cash out. If you're holding a volatile token, consider swapping to USDC on Bankr first (
"swap all my DEGEN to USDC"), then sending — exchanges universally support USDC deposits.Match the network exactly. Most failed cash-outs are network mismatches. When in doubt, Ethereum mainnet is the most widely supported network — just remember gas there isn't sponsored.
Memo/tag fields: some exchanges require a memo or destination tag for certain assets. If the deposit page shows one, it's mandatory.
Taxes: selling crypto for fiat is a taxable event in most places — keep your transaction history.
Leaving Bankr Entirely
Your embedded Bankr wallet's keys are non-exportable by design — there's no seed phrase to take with you. To fully exit, transfer every asset out the same way: send each token to your own external wallet or an exchange, chain by chain. Ask "what are my balances?" to make sure nothing is left behind, including unclaimed token fees ("show all my tokens with unclaimed fees").
Stuck?
If a send fails or a deposit doesn't arrive, check Common Issues & Fixes or open a ticket — include the transaction hash. For transfer mechanics in general, see How Do I Send Crypto to Someone?
